Thermal Infrared (TIR) imaging spectrometer acquiring data between 7.5 mm and 12.0 mm
- First NASA TIR instrument that provides high spatial and spectral resolution data with a wide image swath
- Data will be used to determine the optimum band positions for the spaceborne Hyperspectral Infrared Imager (HyspIRI) as well as provide antecedent data for science studies
- First science data collected in corridor between Grand Junction, CO and Burbank, CA. Sites included geological and ecological targets as well as areas of gas emissions.
- Funded and managed by NASA Earth Science
- PI: Simon J. Hook (JPL)
