PRISM – Portable Remote Imaging Spectrometer

PRISM has flown successfully on two research flights on the NSF GV as part of the O2/N2 Ratio and CO2 Airborne Southern Ocean (ORCAS) campaign out of Punta Arenas Chile.  The flights occurred over the Palmer Peninsula area of Antarctica and over the southern Ocean.  There have been profile flights down over the pack ice, and also over broken sea ice.  To date over 1 TB data of raw unprocessed data has been collected as part of the campaign.
